Brahmins situation in #India(Now)
Anti-Brahminism originated in and still prospers in anti-Hindu circles. It is particularly welcome among Marxists, missionaries, Muslims, separatists and Christian-backed Dalit movements of different hues. When they attack Brahmins, their target is unmistakably Hinduism.
So the question has to be asked: are the Brahmins (and other upper castes) of yesterday becoming the Dalits of today?
Most of the brahmin got uplifted and they don’t need any financial add ! It’s a myth.
The Indian government gives Rs 1,000 crores (Rs 10 billion) for salaries of imams in mosques and Rs 200 crores (Rs 2 billion) as Haj subsidies. But no such help is available to Brahmins and upper castes. The tragedy of modern India is that the combined votes of Dalits/OBC and Muslims are enough for any government to be elected.
You can find a Brahmin as a rickshaw puller, toilet cleaner, coolie etc.I am not objecting over this job profile.I am just stating my views regarding the degradation of this high profile cast.
It’s our misconception that every Brahmin chant shlokas and earn money by doing puja rituals. I have seen a lot family in my village who belongs to brahmin caste, don’t have a single room to stay .Their condition is worse than the BPL holder. But unfortunately, they don’t have BPL card also.Dalits often have five to six kids, but they are confident of placing them easily and well, As a result, the Dalit population is increasing in villages.Dalits are provided with housing, even their pigs have spaces; whereas there is no provision for gaushalas(cowsheds) for the cows of the Brahmins.
Most brahmin belongs to a slight bit higher than the lower class financially, have been suffered a lot now a days.Neither they have the proper source of income nor they can manage their future dot.
Maximum of Brahmins(Lower class) today is employed as domestic servants, cook, babysitter.Due to the less income source, some brahmin family in the village are not able to marry their daughter. So marriage age of brahmin lady in village drastically change now a days.
Brahmins initially turned to government jobs and modern occupations such as law and medicine. But preferential policies for the non-Brahmins have forced Brahmins to retreat in these spheres as well.
Now maximum upper-class brahmin is working in different MNC. Hope government will not implement any kind of quota in this jobs.
